Schemes for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) are notified by the Department of Commerce and administered by the Department of Revenue. The Scheme will affect exports from 1st January 2021. The scheme has been implemented through end-to-end digitization of the issuance of rebate amounts in the form of a transferable duty credit/electronic scrip (e-scrip), which is maintained in an electronic ledger by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC).
Entitlement : Export of products (listed in Appendix 4R of HBP) shall be entitled to Remission of Duty and Taxes on exported Products Scrip equivalent to 0.5 %, 2.6%, or 3.1% of FOB value of exports (in free foreign exchange) for exports made from 01.01.2021 onwards unless a specific date of export/period is specified by public notice notification Under RoDTEP.
